What is an Aura?

If you have gone through the site, you may have a bit more understanding about our bodies and that we are made up of energy which vibrates. The human Aura is the energy field that surrounds the physical body. It surrounds you in all directions and is three dimensional. In a healthy individual it looks like an egg shape surrounding the body, or a halo, often this is the way it is depicted in drawings, as a halo around the head as this is the area of the Aura many people see first. As you practice you will be able to view your own and other peoples Auras.

To view an Aura it takes practice. All objects have Auras, try placing a plant against a white wall and look at the object focussing in one spot for a minutes or so, relax you eyes and eventually with your peripheral vision you will start to see an outline, usually grey at first, the more you practice you will start to notice subtle colours. Practice makes perfect, start looking at people, focussing around the head area first and then move onto the whole body. The subtle energy of the Aura can be also be felt. If you are sensitive to this energy you may sense this as hot or cold spots on the body or some areas feel 'thinner' than others, Reiki healers often sense the Aura during Reiki sessions and therefore know where to direct healing. Hover the hands over the body, about 3 or 4 cms away and see what you feel.

Aura colours have different meanings. It takes a lot of practice to interpret the colour shades seen within the Aura. Each color has its own general characteristic, but variation in shade and colour change can alter the characteristics a little. Also the location of the colour and intensity must be considered. There are solid bright colours aswell as more murky colours.
As a starting point the bright colours represent:
RED
materialistic thoughts, thoughts about the physical body. Predominantly red Aura indicates materialistically oriented person
BLUE
Balanced existence. People with blue strong point in their Aura are relaxed and balanced. They are born survivors. Electric blue can override any other color in the Aura, when the person is receiving and/or transmitting information in a telepathic communication.
GREEN
Restful energy with a natural healing ability. All natural healers should have it. People with a green strong point in their Auras are natural healers. The stronger the green Aura, the better the healer. They also love gardening and usually have a "green hand" - anything grows for them. Being in a presence of a person with a strong and green Aura is a very peaceful and restful experience.
YELLOW
People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous and not attached to anything. Yellow halo around the head represents a high spiritual development and is a signature of a spiritual teacher. This is why pictures of Christ and Buddha have a yellow halo as this is what people saw, their halos extended to their arms! Obviously VERY spiritual.
TURQUOISE
indicates dynamic quality of being, highly energized personality, capable of projection, influencing other people. People with turquoise strong point in their Aura can do many things simultaneously and are good organizers. They feel bored when forced to concentrate on one thing.
ORANGE
Uplifting and inspiring. A sign of power. Has ability and/or desire to control people. When orange becomes a strong point, it usually contributes to a yellow halo, which then becomes gold, indicating not only a spiritual teacher, but a powerful spiritual teacher! someone capable of demonstrating his/her unique abilities.
PINK
Representative of spiritual love. To obtain a clean pink, you need to mix the purple (the highest frequency we perceive) with red (the lowest frequency). Pink Aura indicates that the person achieved a perfect balance between spiritual awareness and the material existence. The most advanced people have not only a yellow halo around the head (a permanent strong point in the Aura) but also a large pink Aura extending further away. The pink color in the Aura is quite rare on Earth and appears only as a temporary thought, never as a strong point in the Aura.
The murkier colours represent:
BROWN
Unsettling, distracting and materialistic
GREY
Dark or depressing thoughts, unclear intentions and a presence of a dark side of the personality
MUSTARD
Pain,unease or anger
WHITE
White isn't a murky colour however it represents artificial stimulation, maybe by drugs. It can also mean serious disease. Often white is seen a healthy but in the Aura it indicates problems. I'll explain, the colour white is like a noise, rather than a set of harmonious tones (monochromatic colors). It is impossible to "tune" the noise to an orchestra playing harmonious music, hence the white Aura indicates a lack of harmony in the body and mind. Nature, which we are a part of, is harmonious. Several hours before the death, the Aura becomes white, and greatly increases in intensity. For this reason in most cultures "death" is depicted in WHITE (not black), because in the past, people could actually see a white Aura before death.

Heal the Aura
Crystals can be used to correct the Aura. Blue Kyanite for example, clears the chakras and aligns the Aura. Its a wonderful crystal that doesn't need to be cleared so can be worn in jewellery with ease.
